Privacy notice

What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who is responsible for your information

Rajesh Maru, trading as Raj Maru Spin Cricket, is the data controller. You can contact Raj on 07845 120 832 or through the enquiry form.

What we collect

If you send an enquiry: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the town you are in, who the coaching is for and what you would like to work on.

If coaching goes ahead and a child is involved: the consent form asks for the child's name, date of birth, address and school year; parent and carer contact details; emergency contacts and collection arrangements; allergies, medical conditions, medication and any access needs; and your choices about photographs and video.

Health information is treated as special category data and is collected only with your explicit consent, recorded on that form.

Why we need it

To reply to enquiries, arrange and run coaching, keep attendance records, contact you, keep children safe, respond to emergencies, and manage photographs and video where consent has been given.

For enquiries and coaching arrangements the lawful basis is legitimate interests and the performance of an agreement with you. For health information and photography the basis is your explicit consent, given separately for each use. Where the law requires a safeguarding referral, the basis is legal obligation and the protection of vital interests.

Who it is shared with

Nobody, other than: emergency services and healthcare professionals where that is needed to protect a child's health or safety; safeguarding authorities where the law requires it; and insurers or governing bodies where necessary. Information is never sold, never used for marketing by anyone else, and never shared with other parents.

Enquiries sent through this website are processed by Netlify, which hosts the site, and are forwarded to Raj by email.

How long it is kept

Information about a child is kept until they turn 18, plus six years, which reflects the standard limitation period in the UK. Enquiries that do not lead to coaching are deleted within twelve months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information held about you or your child, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted in some circumstances, ask for its use to be restricted, object to its use where that applies, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Ring Raj on 07845 120 832 to make any of those requests. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and visitor numbers

This website sets no cookies. Nothing is saved on your phone or computer — no cookies, no local storage, nothing. That is why there is no cookie banner: a banner is required when a site stores something on your device, and this one does not.

We do count visits, using our own software running on this site. Nothing is sent to Google, Meta or any other company, and nothing follows you to other websites.

For each page view we record the page you looked at, roughly how long you stayed and how far down you scrolled, whether you tapped the phone number or the enquiry form, the site that sent you here, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from your internet connection. Location is kept only as far as the first part of a postcode — PO4, not a street or a house — and on a mobile network it is often wrong by some distance.

We do not store your IP address. To count you as one visitor rather than five, your connection details are turned into a short scrambled code that cannot be turned back into you or your device. That code is rebuilt from scratch every day, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next.

If you send an enquiry, we record that an enquiry was sent, which option you chose for who the coaching is for, and how long the form took to fill in. We do not record your name, phone number, email address, where you said you are based, or anything you typed in the message box. Those reach Raj through the enquiry itself and are covered by the rest of this notice.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used so it can be improved. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making. If you would rather not be counted at all, most browsers and mobile operating systems have a setting that blocks this kind of script, and the site works normally without it.
