Cricket coaching in Hampshire
Raj played for Hampshire for fourteen years and coached the county's players for another eleven. He lives in Portsmouth.
Hampshire capped Raj in 1986, during a first-class career at the club that ran from 1984 to 1998. From 1998 to 2009 he was back as spin bowling coach for the Hampshire Cricket Board, working across the whole pathway from under-10s to the first team, and running county age-group cricket for boys and girls.
Players he coached in that system include Liam Dawson, Mason Crane, Danny Briggs, Chris Tremlett and Joe Weatherley. More about those players.
