Cricket coaching in Surrey

Alice Capsey is from Redhill. She made her Surrey debut in 2019 at fourteen, was the first PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year in 2021, and played for England from 2022 at seventeen. Raj has coached her on batting and bowling since she was eleven, through the county pathway and into the England women’s academy at thirteen, and remains her technical spin bowling coach.

Where Raj coaches in Surrey

Raj is based in Portsmouth and travels into Surrey for clubs, schools and individual players. There is no fixed venue — if you have somewhere to work, whether that is your club’s nets, a school hall or an indoor centre, he will come to you. Tell him where you are and he will say what is workable.

What a parent usually asks first

Raj is ECB Level III and NCA Advanced qualified. He is DBS checked, has completed Safeguarding and Protecting Children, and holds a current First Aid certificate. What that means in practice.
